【本刊记者撰述】槟城高庭今天指示《马来西亚前锋报》（Utusan Malaysia）为之前刊载诽谤槟城首长林冠英的文章，赔偿后者20万元。

承审法官瓦基斯（Varghese George Varughese）今天宣判时表示，本身看过有关文章的七个段落后，发现它们确实存有恶意（malicious）、意图误导读者，并以蒙蔽之意编写。

根据《星报》报道，引述法官所言：“这文章纯是浮夸之词且没有实据。文章中也没有确实资讯来源，因（文章）作者表示《马来西亚前锋报》遭抵制，所以他无法确认其中论据”。
